Another poduim for Camilo....Silverstone Race Track

Another podium for Camilo in the FSR WS Ama League on the Silverstone Track. He is driving for the European F1 Team this year.

Camilo qualified in pole position with a great time of 1m18.340. (Interesting to note that the World Championship driver in pole qualified in 1m17.606) Not much difference in qualy times, i must say. Thats the way to go, Camilo.

He had a good race, but suffered from strategy issues, eventually finished in p3, only 5 seconds off the leader.

Well done Camilo! Keep it up!!

He is currently in p9 in the championship.

As from the next race at the Nurburgring, Germany, Camilo will be moving up to the main team, driving in the blue (above) WD-01/B.
We wish him all the best for the rest of the season.

Good-Bye to Silverstone Track.....

It is with great sadness that we have to say good-bye to the Silverstone Track, which will disappear for a while from the F1 Calender.

We thought it good to have a last 'farewell' race on this magnificent track, with its fast corners!
As per race regulations, a 30 lap race with 1 compulsory stop. The CTDP 2006 Mod to be used.

Qualifying went well with a best of 1.25.357 with 15 laps of fuel onboard, in P1.
The race started well and I was able to open a gap to 12 seconds.
I had a spin and lost a few seconds.

The pitstop went well and was able to join in P5. I made up more positions when the Safety Car was deployed on lap 21. While behind the safety car, i spun out and was promoted to the back of the grid! Ouch!!

The SC stayed out for 6 laps, slimming my chances to make up too many places. i finished in P13.
I enjoyed the race very much.

Porsche Carrera Cup at Imola Track 09

We held the first PCC 2007 Race at Imola the past weekend, with 30 laps on this beautiful track.
Qualifying in a time of 1.56.024, with conditions sunny and we are off to go!

The race went rather well, with no safety car deployed . I opted for a 1-stopper (15laps), and the car felt great and went well.

Close racing as always on Imola. I spun 3 times because of the tyre wear, losing out on valuable track positions.

Also i did a fastest lap of the race with a time of 1.55.143.

It felt great to be back on track and to also to finish the race in high spirits.

Race 1: Melbourne, Australia

Welcome to the magnificent and narrow Melbourne circuit. Built on an island and surrounded by water, this track requires precise racing from all drivers.

Qualifying started under overcast weather with track temperatures a mere 16 degrees.

This year the qualifying is different this year i.r.o. the Parc Ferme Rules which indicates you have to qualify with the amount of fuel you are going to start the race with. Only minor changes can be done before race day.I qualified a dismal 15th.

Race started and Pedro de la Rosa (Mclaren) lead the way into the 1st corner, followed by teamie Raikkonen.

A few incidents on track and the Safety Car (SC) was deployed on lap 6 and I managed to make up positions to p2.

I went off track and Jenson Button (Honda) passed for p2.

Fighting for position with Michael Schumacher (Ferrari), I went off track.

Pitstop coming up. 8.2 seconds for new tyres and fuel to the end.

I suffered an front brake failure on lap 18 and finished in p15. Not a good start to the season.
Next race in Malyasia.

2009 Formula 1 season starts!!

Hello and welcome to this years Formula 1 season! I will be taking on the world's best drivers in the championship!

The mod for this season will be the CTDP Formula One 2006 and I am fortunate to drive the F1.06 BMW Sauber car for the season.

The 2009 Rules includes all races to be 30 laps with a mandatory stop. Full flag rules will apply, which sees the Mercedes AMG Safety Car deployed when incidents occur throughout the race.
Also Parc Ferme rules will be in place which means you have to qualify with the fuel you are going to start the race with.

Come and join me for this exciting 2009 season...
