Deltec Racing entered 1 car for the event. Dimitris Dragon did the honours to qualify.
He did a fine qualifying time of 04:04 in the Deltec car and pushed us up to P11.
6 drivers was designated to run the 24 hours. The driver lineup: Dimitris, Marc Reid, Ken Hunter, Neels Botha, Riaan van der Westhuizen & Marius.
Saturday 4pm. Race starts! All SUPER excited. The car is in good shape!
Dimitris's 2hour stint went very well.
Neels Botha was next up. He unfortunately suffered a server disconnection, which implies he has to serve a 8 minute penalty. Not long afterwards, yet another penalty....
Ken Hunter took over from Neels and did a solid job. Riaan started his stint, but also suffered a disconnection & could not join the server again.
Marius took over from Riaan till midnight.
Marc Reid was the next man up from 2am-4am Sunday morning. He also did a splendid job.
Riaan's shift was divided between Marius & Marc.
Dimitris logged back in again at 6am Sunday morning and took the wheel.
Ken took over from him.Neels did his last stint for the race.
Marius drove from 12-2 pm and Marc from 2-3pm.
The last hour was decided that Dimitris, who started the event, should bring the car home.
He also did the fastest laptime in race trim with a 04:05.
All in all a great achievement. We would've liked to finish higher in the ranking, but we gave it our best. we completed 4088 kilometres with a tot of 300 laps. Well done boys!
